Do I Wanna Know - Arctic Monkeys

The video I want to share is the one for "Do I Wanna Know" by Arctic Monkeys. The most memorable, and most powerful, music videos are definitely ones with some kind of narrative but I thought this video was relevant to the course because of its visual simplicity. It reminds me of our first assignment, not only because it revolves around simple shapes and a black/white color spectrum, but because it is an experience purely about the synthesis of the visual & the auditory.

Initially the video seems a little stupid/lazy but when you keep watching, you start noticing the small, detailed vibrations expressed through the sound waves. I think it's almost hypnotizing when you stare at it long enough. Hope everyone enjoys the song and the video! (although I enjoy the AM album like everyone else, I think most of my favorite songs by them are in the Suck It and See album; all time favorite is Piledriver Waltz)
