Stuck in the Sound: Let's Go

I'd like to talk about the visual style of Stuck in the Sound's song "Let go." I don't really think that the lyrics and the video match up, but each does express the same isolationist melancholy. The song climaxes do, however, match up with the various moods that the protagonist endures throughout the short video.

I think that the design choice is very interesting in its voluntary mixture of realistic images and the oddly colored animated characters. This was particularly eye catching during my first watch, and every watch since then. I find that the wacky character art definitely allows the characters to convey exaggerated emotion, which benefits the scenes of agony and rage. Although I wouldn't have gone with this design choice, now that I see it I really can appreciate it. Here are some snips I found particularly interesting to look at.
