Aja- Steely Dan

I personally do not listen to Aja but I was intrigued by this album cover because at first glance it looks like a piece of ribbon but then when you look closer you can see the outline of a face. I think this goes to show how much artistic throught and creativity goes into making album covers. More so, I think its a shame that music is mostly digital now because we loose out on a lot of the artistic space that was there before images were limited to pixels.
I totally agree that we miss out by not having the larger format record covers to look through while listening to the music. I've spent a lot of time looking through liner notes, booklets and posters that come with records. Digital music lacks this visual component, however some contemporary musicians expand upon this idea with videos / films to accompany albums which is also interesting...
