Favorite Animated Movie - Princes et Princesses
Hi, since we're working on animation right now, I thought I'd share some stills & the trailer from my favorite animated movie: Princes et Princesses by French animator Michel Ocelot.
Basically the movie is only an hour long and has six separate episodes, and the episodes are quirky fairy-tale type stories inspired by a variety of cultures and time periods (ancient Egypt, Hokusai's Japan, medieval Europe, a futuristic world, etc).
Warning the whole thing is in French but I don't think you really need to understand the language to get what's going on. I personally don't speak French but love the sound of the language.
I loved watching the movie as a kid and I've watched it over and over again growing up; the silhouette animation, vibrant/multicolored backdrops and nostalgic music work so beautifully together!!
I think it's one of the most visually unique and stunning animated movies I've seen and I really recommend it :)
