BROCKHAMPTON's latest album, iridescence, appears to be a simple image of a pregnant woman taken with a heat camera. However if we look more closely, we notice a cross hair aimed at her left breast and are given more context as to who the observer is. This simple addition of a cross hair gives the listener enough context to realize that there is something hostile and deadly about the cover of the album that isn't necessarily noticed right off the bat. I liked this album cover because of the impact of this small shape, and I wanted to share it with the class for this week's blog post in an effort to promote the idea of the impact simplicity may hold.
