Of Monsters and Men's "Beneath the Skin"

I chose
this album cover mostly because of its simplicity. The shapes are abstract
forms of the band's initials, but what I find more interesting is the textures
contained within them. I think the textures in the shapes, particularly the
ones on the left (the circle and the triangle), have nice movement within them
because of the leading lines. Another thing I find interesting is the balance
of the album cover as a whole. The shapes on the left are darker than those on
the left, which contain more white. However, the cover still seems pretty
balanced and I think that's probably because of the few dark spots in the left
shapes and the few white spots in the right shapes--those small additions help
make the album cover a whole. I also like that the two "M's" don't
have the same texture on the inside, which I think is a subtle way of making
the cover more visually complex.
