tattoo as art
I recently burned my right wrist and got a scar from it. I am hoping that it will heal and disappear over time, it has been bothering me ever since. I was talking to my friends and they told me to cover it with a pretty tattoo later if it doesn't heal. That thought excited me since it gave me hope that I could turn an ugly mark on my wrist to a pretty sign. However, a lot of people still hesitate to accept tattoo as an appropriate activity. The trend is that people are trying to change their biased opinions on tattoos. Here is an article on a new tattoo shop in Brooklyn that also attempts to transform people's opinions on tattoos and accept it as a form of art.
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing. I know of a tattoo shop in West Philly where one artist in particular there is very much in-demand due to her positive, feminist perspective on tattooing.
