Ted Kim, good_drink

Ted Kim is an artist I've been following on Instagram for a few years now. Here's the link to his account: https://www.instagram.com/good_drink/.

I've always liked his work, but thinking about it in relation to this class has given me a newfound appreciation for it. I think Kim is extremely talented at achieving a high level of detail in his work without overcomplicating anything (because of his use of color and contrast, I think the focus of his work is usually pretty clear) or sacrificing the overall balance of the piece. I really enjoy this kind of detailed work, but have struggled to produce it in this class, usually sticking with my simpler ideas. However, looking at Kim's work has given me a better understanding of how to achieve this kind of detail while still having a balanced piece, so I'll keep working on adding more complexity to my work.
