Guerrilla Sign Artist

I heard about this story awhile ago, but I just thought to add it to the blog now. Richard Ankrom, a "sign guy" got so frustrated that he kept missing his exit that he decided to make and put up a fake freeway sign. It was convincing enough to keep people from realizing it was bogus. Once he told the press, the sign was taken down and the government eventually put up a similar design. In the decade following his fake signs, we've seen other guerrilla artists take the stage. Banksy in particular is the most famous example. I think it's interesting, and sometimes funny, how artists can cause a positive and permanent change to society out of their own frustration.
