Monument Valley
By far, my favorite phone game I've ever downloaded and played is hands down MONUMENT VALLEY. If you've never heard of it, don't worry. Just watch this video below and you'll see honestly just how amazing it is:
It's a puzzle game taken to a whole other level, not only in terms of game play but also in terms of its aesthetic qualities. I absolutely love it's minimalistic design and how it uses just simple shapes and textures but it's able to create a whole new world that completely draws you in. The color choices for each level are also perfectly paired with the feelings the creator wants you to have while playing it.
Everything from the type choices to the soundtrack is amazing and it just builds upon the game playing experience. I highly recommend you just shell out the $3.99 (yeah, it's not free) cause it's so worth it. It's available on the app store for both Apple and Android. I promise you, you will love this game. And yes, there is a sequel.
